In the spirit of compassion and solidarity during the holy month of Ramadhan, Rohingya Youths Support Network (RYSN) successfully organized a Ramadhan Food Pack Distribution for the Rohingya community in Sungai Buloh, in collaboration with MyCARE Humanitarian Care Malaysia.

This meaningful initiative aimed to support vulnerable Rohingya families who continue to face economic hardship, limited access to stable employment, and rising living costs in Malaysia. For many refugee families, Ramadhan can be especially challenging as they strive to provide daily meals while observing the fast.

Supporting Families with Dignity

The distributed food packs contained essential items such as rice, cooking oil, canned goods, and other daily necessities to help families prepare sahur and iftar meals throughout Ramadhan. Each pack represented not only food assistance but also hope, dignity, and reassurance that the community is not forgotten.

The program reached numerous households in Sungai Buloh, ensuring that the most vulnerable including widows, single mothers, elderly individuals, and families with many children received timely support.

Strong Collaboration for Greater Impact

This initiative was made possible through close collaboration between RYSN and MyCARE. The partnership demonstrated the importance of working together to maximize outreach and ensure effective distribution at the grassroots level.

As a refugee-led organization, RYSN played a key role in:

• Identifying and verifying beneficiaries

• Coordinating community mobilization

• Managing on-the-ground distribution

• Ensuring transparency and accountability

Their deep connection with the Rohingya community ensured that assistance reached those who needed it most.

Appreciation for RYSN’s Leadership and Commitment

RYSN received heartfelt appreciation from partners and community members for its professionalism, dedication, and efficient coordination throughout the program. The organization’s youth-led team demonstrated strong leadership, commitment, and integrity in delivering humanitarian assistance.

Community members expressed gratitude not only for the food support but also for the respectful and organized manner in which the distribution was conducted. RYSN’s continuous efforts to empower the Rohingya community, particularly youth have strengthened trust and solidarity within Sungai Buloh and beyond.

A Shared Commitment to Humanity

Ramadhan is a time of reflection, generosity, and unity. Through this food distribution initiative, both RYSN and its partners reaffirmed their commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and promoting compassion across society.

As challenges continue to affect refugee families, initiatives like this serve as a reminder that collective action and community-led efforts can create meaningful impact.

RYSN extends its sincere appreciation to all donors, partners, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to the success of this program. Together, we continue to build hope, resilience, and a brighter future for the Rohingya community in Malaysia.
